The Hewlett Packard / Agilent E1488A is a Data Storage VXI Module. The E1488A is a Single width C-Sized VXI module. The Agilent E1488A offers a convenient way to extend the memory of an instrument in 2MB increments up to 16MB. Several Agilent VXI instruments that make use of the local bus may use the Agilent E1488A for high-speed dtat transfers. Units that use the HP E1488A include: E1429B, E1430A, E1437A, E1431A, E1432A and E1485C. A common data transfer protocol was designed to ensure data integrity during high-speed transfers.
